Human Heart and blood flow

Download Video: Posted by Mervyn Lowe at TeacherTube.com.

I think that this is a cool program that allows you to break apart the heart and look at the different parts and function without actually having to do a physical dissection. This could be extremely helpful in teaching kids in an anatomy class which I hope to one day teach.

Podcasting

I feel that podcasting in education is very awesome in classrooms, especially college. You are finally able to relisten to a lecture to help clarify any questions you had in class. I think that this is an awesome technological advancement.

Flickrs is a fairly new program that uses creative commons to upload pictures and share them with family and friends. I find this a very neat tool to use because if family and friends live far away they can still see what is going on in your life through pictures.

Educator using Technology

One Educator that works in a high school uses technology in a very interesting way to connect her students to other students across the world. She uses a program that allows students to talk over the computer (kind of like a telephone) to other students who speak other languages. This is a great way for students to get real experience with other children trying to learn a foreign language. The best way to learn a new language is submerge yourself into someone or a culture that speaks it, and this is the easiest way to do it.

Instructional Software Website

I have been looking through a bunch of different websites and found a website called PLATO Learning Styles. After evaluating the site using the checklist on page 109 I have found that this site could be very useful for integrating technology in the classroom. I especially like the way the site is designed to meet the needs of the user. It divides it up into student/ teacher and also into different grade levels and what exactly you are using the site for. It is easy to use and overall a great site.

FREE

FREE is a cool website because it seperates educational resources into different content areas. They are shown by pictures which is very good because it makes the information easy to find. I think that this site would also be very helpful in developing tools and knowledge for future teaching experiences.

Blue Web'n

This is a cool site that would be very helpful as a teacher. This site organizes information by subject grade level and format. It is like an online library and I don't even have to leave my house. Overall, I really like this site.

THE Journal

I looked throught this website and found an awesome part that gives you all these different clip arts. I could use this in my classroom to keep my kids interested in the material and also because they are fun. It is important to have fun while you are learning and I feel that these are great tools that are school appropriate.

ITEA

I really liked this website because it deals more with test and assessment which I find very interesting in the world of technology. I think that is awesome that you can now take a test on a computer and learn your score within seconds. This website talks about a lot of the issues and new information having to do with testing.

AECT

After looking at this website I decided that I liked the AACE website layout better. This website deals with the same kind of information, but is kind of confusing where to even start looking. I do realling like their moto..... click on the future of learning. I felt that was very creative and fit the site very well.

AACE

I just got done looking at the AACE website and found it quite interesting. It tells you about upcoming events in educational technology and tells you whats new in the world of technology. It even has an online store where you can buy new updates and CD's that may help and aide teachers in their classroom.
